I am riding a CPI Oliver City 125, the bike is all stock apart from a custom color. my question is how would i go about de-restricting my bike and also were would i be able to source a unlimited CDI unit. Also any tips on performance upgrades would be most appreciated .

    Thanks in advance..

    Kyle.

I am sorry to break this to you but I believe you may have bought an untunable scooter. There are not that many 125s that are restricted apart from geared 2 strokes and yours is a four stroke. I also looked for a unlimited CDI on PSN, PM Tuning, @drenaline and scooter center and they have nothing. The only thing I managed to find for you was on Ebay and there are two tacky "sports" exhausts. Enter in 180675737161 and 150613476026
    They look propa gash though!

I have been looking now and again for a while now and I've found a 180 big bore kit, bigger carb's, variator kits, primary and secondary gear ups, rollers and all that stuff but i just need a little guidance as what to buy..

if you want fast...shot it quick and get a typh/sr/drag runner. Keep if you just want cheap scootering (i guess ) hold onto it. Hint there are quite a few SR125's on Ebay

I know the bike is Chinese but its cheap and cheerful, it does about 60 as it is but it doesn't rev that high, feels like theirs more there.. I've found the parts such as the big bore kit on eBay (160594212067).

Up to you mate i would keep it cheap and cheerful. You may need to make changes to the carburettor if you're using a bigger kit, and where will you get spares for your bike. If it does "60mph" on the clock you're actually doing a lot less you can be sure of that. Again if you want speed get a 2T. At least there is a lot more in them

They do about a real 55 stock. Yeah, you can get big bore kits, but at the end of the day it'll still be a crap engine. Sell it and get a 125 2T with a piaggio engine in.

I'm just thinking ahead at the minute.. for example http://www.chinesemotorcyclepartsonline.co.uk/bikes_OLIVER+125.php has got a fair few spares, I understand its a Chinese piece of shit but it'll do for now and i like a challenge :p. I've just recently had to strip it down and repair the fairings as i stupidly let a friend ride it. Thanks for all your help.

CPI isn't actually your normal Chinese rubbish. It's a long running Taiwanese/Chinese built bikes from what's supposedly a Canadian company.

They have been around from a lonnng time before all these rubbish chinese bikes turned up.

Still the only performance part listed is the bore kit and the rest is just replacement standard parts. For the price of that kit i'd fit it for a laugh.

The big problem with all the chinese 50s and 125s is the poor quality of the drive belts, tune it and belt life will be very limited.
