none of mine were ever restricted but usually if theyre used its already been done but you cant really tell because visions are slow anyway ! if you want more speed out of a vision, mallossi sell a variator kit for them and get a Kevlar belt too ! :) the only restrictions on a vision ive heard of are in the exhaust pipe there will be a spacer just by the header and there will be a spacer in the variator. don't bother changing the cdi as some people will tell you as they are not restricted from factory and are actually better than the aftermarket cdi`s :) hope this helped a bit :)

Pretty sure malossi does a gear - up kit too!,
There are alot of b/bore kits out there as well,
would'nt touch them for personal reasons, but if
you decided to go that route - just remember most
of the parts in your motor would probaly be quite
old,an unless there was a full comprehensive rebuild
it could be a short! term thing. :) .

mallossi have done a few parts for the vision but if you want to keep your vision reliable id say just get the variator kit + Kevlar belt, never had experience or know of people who have had experience with the gear up kit but I honestly don't see the point unless your going to do a full race set up (72cc Malossi MHR and Stuffer Crank OKO24, 28mm Simioni, ZX Trans, 7.58:1 gear up kit) and your never going to see more than 50-60 + tbh, with just a variator kit + Kevlar belt you can get 35mph, change the tyres to michelin S1 90/90 10`s and you MIGHT see another 5mph. theres quite a few tuned visions around my area but my sa50 was the only one that would start up first kick every single time weather it was sat for weeks or not it would start without fail. the tuned ones round here are ermmmmm whats that word again................... unreliable :) haha

Think i'd be quite happy in long-run if it topped out round 40mph,
after all pretty much fastest road be taking her on,just don't like
the idea of riding around on a bike (alongside all other 50's+),that should'nt have been restricted
    in the 1st place!.

like I say best bet is variator + belt + tyres to keep it reliable, I did the variator and belt mod and was best £75 spent ever, did the tyre mod to my nb50 and it did improve handling etc worth £30 a tyre, there are other things you can do to get these beautiful little machines faster but if you just want 35-40mph then variator+belt+tyres :) hope I helped

Ran an '86' ne for 10 months last year, found a replacement crank quite plentiful -running
    on average ©£70.ish.

    Don't know that term,
only ran and serviced the bike during otr/before making sorn,
    for long-term original spec.but 'improved'rebuild.
Learning much more now ,doing occasional research in between
    gathering parts.

Change the wheels is a good idea

no need to change the wheels on the little Hondas, the tyres yes, im running 90/90-10 front and rear now and getting 40mph (took it to family friends farm to test)

When I had my ne otr it'd do 35mph no problemo,
always constantly felt there was plenty more in reserve!,
having dismantled her or a longish+ rebuild/found out that
the guy ?before me who owned it fitted a fully de-restricted
motor but left the original pipe(very heavily restricted) + carb.,
,i used to scare the living daylights out of much/much bigger bikes
in traffic as it used to go like a scalded cat!.,
I would never change original wheels as for nipping round local london
streets on good tyres you can't beat her! :D.mark.
