    Hi

Im just going over my piaggio zip 50 and thinking about giving it a service(have just bought it recently).

    Its a 2009 50cc 2t model.

I've got a list of things to buy, but the manual doesn't tell you all the stock sizes and measurements that comes with the standard setup.

    This is what i have so far;
    New front brake pads
    fresh brake fluid.
    new plug - champion rn2c
    inspect all filters and replace.
    clean the carb.
    Inspect electrics
check and adjust throttle & brake cables
    re grease everything(bearings etc)
    gearbox oil - 80w90, 85cc
    rollers - 18.5mm
    drive belt - 17.5mm min

The compenents with the measurements I've managed to find out through surfing.

The bike is derestricted but everything else i think is standard.

Can someone give me the size and weight of the rollers I need and the drive belt as well.
I have searched online but all i can see is Pollini this and Mallosi that!!

Any other advice on what i should be buying/changing/checking would be great.

    :)

    Hi

    I'm confused.

The manual states that the roller size should be 18.5. Wouldn't the 19mm be too large for it?

Yes the bike is derestricted. Got up to 40mph so far

18.5 is the minimum size. As in if it gets down to that you should change it. Same as the belt.

May even be less than 6.5 then but i couldnt tell you what. There are too many factors.

oh ok, got ya, its the minimum they are talking about. Wish they had made that clearer.

    Thanks for that.

As far as i can tell, the previous owner has just got it derestricted but hasnt changed anything in terms of aftermarket products, ie exhaust, etc

Is changing the belt and rollers easy on the Zip? I've changed a set of a Peugeot Speedfight, is there more parts to remove before getting to the rollers on the zip?

Should be pretty much the same as changing them on a speedfight.
